Long Range Weapons Engagement

This is a class based around the use of ranging reticles and learning how to become a better spotter. You will learn to use mathematical formulas to make range estimations, wind calls and corrections for long range shooters. You will also be taught proper shooter-spotter communication to ensure the quickest and simplest forms of communication between the two operators.  6-7 hrs (4 class room 2-3 range)

Equipment list includes:

all equipment from Lr1 and LR2
shooting scope (preferably with internal ranging reticle)
must have ranging reticle in scope

Smart Phone with
ballistic app (applied ballistics) or sig rangefinder (BDX or ABS) with kestrel elite series weather station with “link”long range rifle capable of shooting LESS THEN 1” groups at 100 yards
recommend 6.5 creedmoor, .300 wing, 6.5prc, 260 remington or similar calibers
quality high power rifle scope with UNCAPPED adjustable turrets (not the traditional covered hunting scope adjustment turrets)
Preferably with horus/Xmas tree style reticle
quality precision rifle ammunition (not hunting ammo) 150-200rds
cheek riser/adjustable stock
shooting mat with bipod loading straps (straps sewn to the front of the mat in which the bipods can be pressed into while firing)
hearing protection and eye protection
note pad and paper
