Whether it is walking to your car late at night, or working with someone who makes you uncomfortable…. we all have those moments when we need to make a split second decision.  Knowing how criminals think, what they say to profile a victim, and learning how to “trust your gut” – can mean the difference between violence and victory.  Participants receive effective and realistic training to recognize and counter predatory behavior and assault from certified instructors whose goal is to empower men & women against violence and the fear of violence.

Here is what students are saying:

“Life-changing!  Everyone should take this class!”

“I left feeling so empowered!”

“Had I known this information I would have avoided a sexual harassment case.”

“Far better then any typical self-defense course!”

This course is recommended for men and women13 and older.

The Defense Against a Knife Attack is TACTIC’s combatives course and one of the most empowering courses we teach! Each skill you learn is layered one upon the other systematically. At the end of the course, you will succeed in facing a threat in a red man suit with a shock knife.

The Defense Against a Knife Attack material is founded on statistics-based research and focuses on what is real and what works. Our knife defense teaches both how to defend against knife attacks with bare hands, and also how to defend against attacks by using a knife yourself. The class covers the fundamentals of fighting with and defending against an edge weapon with emphasis on the “stalking” phase of a knife attack which is more common for civilians.

Participants receive effective and realistic training to counter edged weapon assaults from certified instructors. Knife Defense is based on combat proven systems and one of the most effective foundations for knife self-defense techniques.

Training consists of 5-6 hours of classroom and physical exercises.  The physical segments of this class can be strenuous and the subject material is inherently violent.

Surviving the Griz!

2 Day Bear Spray/Firearm Training Course

This 2 day bear defense training course is a course all men and women who enjoy the outdoors should experience. Whether you are hiking in the backcountry with friends or elk hunting alone this fall, there is a chance of running into a Grizzly. Day 1 consist of bear and bear spray knowledge. We will have a live Grizzly Bear at the training! This will give everyone an opportunity to get up close and personal with a real bear.  You will train with inert Bear Spray training cans and firearms. You will practice drawing from a holster against unexpected moving targets with added stress from TACTIC Instructors. At the end of this training you will have learned about bears and their tendencies, trained with inert training cans of bear spray, and put 300 rounds through your designated bear gun.  Day 2  is 6 hours of strictly handgun training.

You also have the option to attend just the first or just the second day of the training. You can select that option during registration. However, we recommend registering for both days.
